A ramp agent at Philadelphia International Airport was killed yesterday. It happened around 4 p.m. This US Airways ramp agent was driving his tug (pushback/baggage carts) around when he flipped it. He was then taken to the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he passed away soon after.
It’s really sad to see a story like this to pop-up. This is an unfortunate accident and I send kindest regards to his family and friends. Not many details have been unveiled, so it’s wrong to assume (like many) that he was driving too fast, but I’m curious to find out what the cause of the accident was.
